CMS backup to USB failing

CMS version might be important to this discussion, however the "mount" command should show the directory where the drive contents are, from there you would just "ls" that directory. Of course if the drive is not mounted then this will not work. Do you have access to the support site? Information on USB backup information is in the "Software Installation, Maintenance and Troubleshooting" manual.

df -h will show you disk usage for each mount point.
