is there a way in CMS to check its history about its backup if its successful or not? If yes, possible to guide me?

You can run CMS Supervisor and go to Tools | Maintenance and select the Reports Tab, then select the Error Log Report.

In the report you will have "Error Code" 1711 for Backup information.

1711 6/22/2020 5:06 AM 2 1 INFO BACKUP INFO: The backup has completed successfully. Please label the volume [filename]
1711 6/22/2020 5:05 AM 1 1 INFO BACKUP INFO: Based on 40GB tape size, it is estimated you need 1 ( 0.03 ) volumes.

Backup history is also located in /cms/install/logdir/backup.log

This will give you the last 15 entries in the log:

tail -15 /cms/install/logdir/backup.log

You should get an output like this:

===== Begin backup Mon Jun 1 11:58:48 EDT 2020

Converter started Mon Jun 1 11:58:48 EDT 2020
Converter completed successfully Mon Jun 1 11:58:48 EDT 2020

Testing tape on /dev/rmt/0...

Tape test on /dev/rmt/0 is okay...

11721700 blocks

===== Finished backup Mon Jun 1 12:02:45 EDT 2020
