We have an r14 CMS and was wondering is there anything we need to do to increase the aux reason code from 1 digit to 2. On CM, it is just done on change sys-feat page but I heard its not straight forward on CMS

Unfortunately, it's a differnt software load to support Expanded AUX Reason Codes in the CMS. The CMS software load is r14.1auxaa.h. I believe the cost to add the feature is around $2K (US).

You can check your software load by typing 'pkginfo -x cms'.

I have CMS r14 extended aux version and I do have a question regarding the Two-Digit Aux Work Reason Codes set to Y in the sys-fea.
If I change this to allow two digits you need to press # when you use one digit aux-reason code, so I had to change it back to "n" in the sys-fea and leave it in the way that was.

I was wondering if the system allow to use 01 instead of 1# since we'll need to send some kind of communication to the users. If you hit an aux with one digit the system remain waiting until you press another digit and it seems that there is not timeout for it causing confusion to the users.
Have anybody faced with this feature?
thanks in advance.

Yes; since the system is looking for two digits on the AUX reason code, you will need to enter 01, 02, 03, etc. for the previous single digit codes. It didn't take my users long to get used to the new entries.

Hello!

Has anyone turned this feature on in CMS? I am wondering what the cost is that you paid. Avaya gave my company a quote of almost $41,000 (YES $41K) to turn this feature on in CMS. I understand some of the professional services with the DB work. I am told they need to backup the DB, remove the old, create a new one then restore the data.

Thanks

NJGuy,

Everyone's upgrade price would differ based on system size. I know that my first quote was only about 25k, but i only have 101 agents. Our biggest issue was that were 2 levels down after upgrading CM to 5.0... You just have to get competing quotes to really ask why the price is what it is... One BP's price will differ from another's. There will always be an Avaya "Professional Service Fee"... the BP's also add their fees...

I'm still awaiting approval :)
