Can one instalation of CMS on a Map5 pull data from two different G3r switches? We have on G3r ver 9.05 at one location and another G3r ver 9.05 at a remote location. We have a DS3 tie line between the two.

Thanks

Mike

CMS runs on a SUN platform, not a MAP5. Depending on your version of CMS software, you may be able to add a 2nd ACD on the CMS. You can find the CMS version by logging in as root and typing 'pkginfo -x cms'. There is a charge from Avaya to add the ACD RTU. The 2nd PBX would need a C-LAN board to talk to the CMS.

Depending on your UNIX/Solaris skills you could do the setup yourself or have Avaya or a Business Partner configure the ACD for you.

Thanks, Kevin. We haven't gotten the CMS yet but I was told it was going to be put on a MAP5 (our Audix voice mail runs on a MAP5 and I believe Sun, but it might be a different flavor of unix). I'm not part of the group doing the purchasing, so I don't know what version it is. That will be one of the first things I do when I get it. We do have a C-Lan in both switches and it is accessable via the network from the local location. I'll get with the person doing the buying and have him check that it has a 2nd ACD. In most cases, Unix is Unix, so hopefully my rusty AIX Unix background will let me do any changes needed, if the company we are getting it from doesn't take care of it before they deliver it.

Thanks for the info, Kevin.
