I have a computer with a MicroStar MS-6118 motherboard. We are continually having to change the CMOS battery (Once a month or so) Anyone have any ideas as to what the problem might be?
possibly a dodgy capacitor on the motherboard deciphering off all the batteries charge. the fix: leave the PC on !! If in doubt get the Ball Pein Hammer out
You can either replace the motherboard or leave the Computer on all the time. I had an IBM do the same thing. Some electronic component just wore out. chaulk it up to experience. If you do not like my post feel free to point out your opinion or my errors.
