CMM Stopped Working

Our CMM stopped working. Tried to "Stop and Start Messaging but would fail and did the "Shutdown Server" but with the same result. This is what I am getting from the Start/Stop Messaging:

/VM/apps/shutdown/shutdown.ela: ELA software is not running.
IIM Stopping...
'/ldap/bin/Ldapcorp -f /ldap/openldap/etc/Ldapfe.conf.cmm' is already down
'/ldap/bin/Ldapfe -f /ldap/openldap/etc/Ldapfe.conf.cmm' is already down
'/ldap/openldap/bin/slapd -f /ldap/openldap/etc/slapd.conf' is being stopped...
.
...
'/ldap/openldap/bin/slapd -f /ldap/openldap/etc/slapd.conf' stopped
IIM Stopped.
Abnormal termination
core process failure detected - too many rcvy attmpts, going to ESHUT excd=4

Not sure what needs to be down in here but the only thing that I have not done is to do a hard reboot of server. Would appreciate for any guidance/suggestion on this matter.
 
server hardware type?
CM software version?

Have you tried starting and stopping CMM from web browser?

A great teacher does not provide answers, but methods to teach others "How and where to find the answers"

Server Type: vmware
CM Software Version: R017x.01.0.532.0


Have you tried starting and stopping CMM from web browser? - Yes I did with the same result.
