Looking for any advise on dealing with Telefonica (LEC in Spain).
Below is what we are dealing with:
We have tried all relevant E-1 configurations on the router. We are not seeing a response from Telefonica on the D-channel (15). We are sending information out but not getting responses from the circuit.
When we call our DIDs we either get a busy signal or a message stating that the number is “unavailable.
When we make an outbound call we get a fast busy signal.
Normally when we bring up a PRI we get the circuit installed then a call is made to the phone company Central Office to get the circuit turned up. There is no phone call in our scenario with Telefonica.
If we call our commercial sales agent he tells us he is not technical and will call to have someone dispatched. The person that arrives is a subcontractor that takes care of the physical layer. We are having problems at layer 3. We can’t find anyone technical to speak with that can help us at that layer.
When we dial the main Telefonica number 900 555 022 we are prompted to enter the number we are calling about. the number and the response from their menu system states that is not a Telefonica number and hangs up on us.
Telefonica has dropped off an Alcatel NT1 device with a G. 703 to terminate the circuit. We have tried configuring both the Cisco Multiflex G.703 port and the Multiflex E1 port on the router. No information has been given by Telefonica about specific line coding or any other detail normally associated with T1 / E1 installation.
Anyone with any experience with Telefonica?
