Hello and greetings
Hope everyone is okay. Just want to confirm on 61c Nortel if If I can reseat a CMDU card without doing the
split mode. The CMDU card on CPU 0 has error on LD 43 BKO.
Any inputs please. Thanks guys

Best to email me off line.

Go into LD 135 or 137 and key in STAT CPU to check the current CPU status.

In LD 43 key in DAT to check the backup status.

The CPU that is offline can be removed if the system isn't split. CPU status will tell you all this infomation.

Try just doing a EDD in LD 43. Sometimes you have to do a EDD CLR if the system has suffered a blip on the power or connections etc.

Hi Firebird Scrambler.
Thank you for the reply. When performing EDD on LD 43 all is okay until it reach data dump
on Floppy diskette. The dump always failed. This is on both CMDU 0 and 1. As initial
action I'm planning to reseat the CMDU card without doing the split mode. This might resolve
the dump issue on floppy diskettes. I have use several diskettes but no joy.
Is it okay to reseat CMDU without splitting the cores? Any other options to possibly fix the BKO?
Thanks

If the data dump is failing when it goes to the floppy disk, then it might be worthwhile checking the floopy disk.
Thay are known to fail.

You can reseat the CMDU on the off line one without causing too much hassle.

Imposter, it's not really me.
I would appreciate a name change for the imposter though.

Cheers
