CM6 platform templates

Hello everyone,

what are differences between 2 template models on CM6 - Embedded Solution and Midsize Enterprise Solution.

In hardware view: Embedded Solution comes on S8300, and Midsize Ent on S8500.

Are there differences in supported functions, severs (does Embedded solution has built-in Session Manager), redundancy options, ?

Embedded is only for the S8300D. There is no redundancy option with this server. It includes CM, Utility Server and CMM. Remote Embedded includes CM, Utility Server, and Branch Session Manager (BSM).

Since in CM6, Session Manager is required when there is a SIP stations (phones), does it means that when there are SIP phones and trunks, that Midsize Enterprise template must be used?!

For what configurations is better to choose Embedded i.e. Midsize Ent. Solution?
