Depends on your circumstances but IP sets do offer more flexibility in the long run. I do know that certain governmental agencies won't allow IP phones and you must use digital in those circumstances.
CMS - Call Management System reports on the Call Center. The type of phone you use really has no impact on the CMS reporting. Most customers have been migrating to IP Endpoints (H.323 and SIP) simply to provide greater flexibility. Especially when you are migrating to a remote worker environment.
