When calling a deskphone with EC500 enabled it will ring the attached cell phone. Once in a while if the cell phone is answered on the first ring the cell phone will get disconnected and the desk phone will continue to ring, is there anything I can look at to help mitigate this from happening?

I though system-parameters coverage-forwarding page 2, but I do not see anything that would help in this situation??

Code:
SYSTEM PARAMETERS CALL COVERAGE / CALL FORWARDING

COVERAGE OF CALLS REDIRECTED OFF-NET (CCRON)

Coverage Of Calls Redirected Off-Net Enabled? y
Activate Answer Detection (Preserves SBA) On Final CCRON Cvg Point? y
                                  Ignore Network Answer Supervision? n
Disable call classifier for CCRON over ISDN trunks? n
Disable call classifier for CCRON over SIP trunks? n

That's a new on for me. Typically, I see zero rings or delays reaching the mobile.

Still, maybe in a new config?

Code:
display off-pbx-telephone configuration-set 3

                                     CONFIGURATION SET: 3

                         Configuration Set Description:
                                  Calling Number Style: network
                                   CDR for Origination: phone-number
CDR for Calls to EC500 Destination? y

                                      [highlight #EF2929]Confirmed Answer? n[/highlight]

Provide Forced Local Ringback for EC500? n EC500Delay Deactivation State? y
Apply Ringback upon Receipt of: Call-Proceeding

Location to Route Incoming Overlap Calls: station-location-if-set
Feature Invocation by In-Call DTMF Code? n

I don't know if the Confirmed Answer set to "y" would make a difference but it may be worth a try.

Of course, you could always tell the users to wait for two rings...

Thanks for the reply! I was thinking about the 2 ring thing too!!

What is actually causing this is the "Cellular Voice Mail Detection: timed (seconds): 4. This prevents a cell's voicemail from "answering" the call immediately. If you remove that though, then if the phone returns a busy signal or a cell's voicemail picks up the call will end the ringing on both sides as the call will be answered.

Do confirmed answer. It's the one way that mostly guarantees the function and comes with the added benefit of being able to know when a call is ec500 vs direct to the mobile number.
Confirmed answer plays a dial tone to the end user, and they need to push any DTMF to answer ... or hang up and the call will go unanswered (likely coverage).
