In my lab test environment I'm running S8500 with DLG, CLAN, Medpro with CM 3.0 and AES 3.0 interfacing with Genesys 7.2.

In production it's S8720 with DLG CLAN, Medpro with CM 4.0 and AES 4.0 interfacing with Genesys 7.2.

What do I gain by upgading my lab switch to match what is in production?

The upgrade runs about $100k because of the DLG.

By not upgrading my lab switch, what am I losing?

The only benifit to upgrading your lab environment is that you emulate production.

You really have to decide what it's worth to your business to be able to test new implimenations on a LAB switch that is the same load of the productions switch.

There are not only differences in feature sets but there are also break fixes and other anomolies in different loads of software.

The chances of one of those impacting you testing a new implimentation on your lab switch might be small but if it happens, how big of a deal is it to you?
