I have a Cluster of 8 MCD 6.0
Extension 4032 is a Hotdesk user with no phone assigned. Its home element is MCD 1 and there is 1 hotdesk extension there to login to. 4032 does not have a second element assigned.
4032 logs in to 4 other hotdesk extensions. 3 of those extensions are homed to MCD 2 and each has MCD 3, 4, and 5 as second elements as well as physically being located in those secondary MCDs. According to the User, she can log in to any of the hotdesk phones with no problems, except there is a problem with another hotdesk phone located at MCD 5. This phone is homed to MCD 5. While attempting to troubleshoot this problem I find that 4032 shows to be resilient in other MCD Remote Directorys. MCD 2 RD shows the correct assignemnt of MCD 1. MCD 3, 5, 6, 7, and 8 show 4032 assigned to MCD 2 and 4 in their RD. It only shows as being assigned to MCD 2 in MCD 4 RD. There are SDS issues in MCD 1, 2, and 6. SYNCing does not help.
This is not my customer; my employer is helping out a friendly competitor that no longer has a certified tech. (We may end up with their accounts, so we're playing nice). I have no recent database saves. To make matters worse, there is an IT "guru" at customer site that likes to play phone-man. I have some ideas on what I need to do, but would like to hear from you guys. I guess my real question to start is why does 4032 show as being registered to MCD 2 and 4 in the other MCDs when 4032 does not have either of those elements assigned. Thanks
