Is it possible to cluster a server 2003 r2 machine with a server 2008 r2 machine?

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. But, in practice, there is.

You were able to do this with previous versions of Windows as per this article below;

Don't see why it couldn't work but I would strongly recommend against it.
