Hey Guys,

I have a bunch of old Dell GX240's laying around, and I want to try to re-purpose some of them as a clustered virtual server host. I want to utilize Linux/UNIX as the host operating system (hence why I'm posting under this forum, lol) as my budget is basically $0. I'd love to be able to utilize the disk space on all members of the cluster.

Is this possible? I'm interested in the cloud computing edition of Ubuntu, but I don't know if it'll accomplish this. I've also poked around the 'net, but I'm not sure where to begin!

Can somebody point me in the right direction?

Instead of looking at the big picture why don't you break it down and load up one server and have a play around. Once you have an idea of how things sit together the rest should be straight forward.

Do you just want to use the disk space, or do you have specific application(s) in mind that you want to run in it?
