I've been to the Microsoft site and I've done some online searches but I haven't really found any info that best suits my companies needs.
Small company with a Windows2000 SQL2000 to show data to support phone customservice calls.
Data backup is not an issue but we don't want to be down for any amount of time.
This has to be up 24/7.
This is the current plan:
We're currently looking to purchase a new Server with Adv/Server2000 and SQL2K Enterprise and also upgrade the existing server to ADv2K/EnterpSQL for Clustering.
We also will buy an external SCSI storage array for our database files and link the two servers together with SCSI cables.
Is there a good resource to pull this all together so i can do it myself?
I also checked out Veritas Cluster server and though it does exactly what we need the price is way too much.
Also does anyone know of any problems of getting SQL software from a reputable EBay merchant?
Assuming it's unopened and has a valid registration?
Does this void getting help from Microsoft?
Thanks in advance.
