Clustering MBGs

Could someone help/advise please.
i have two vMiVB both running release 7 both with MBG SIP proxy one for each site, all good a working. when i cluster the MBGs which every MBG is slave that SIP link goes OOS. when i look at the SIP config on the MBG the routing rules change so that the primary ICP is wrong for one of vMiVB.i guess when clustered the MBG's sync and the slave copies the master but this chamges the primary ICP to the wrong one.
am i doing something wrong. All systems are in the same cluster and running latest sw. vMiVB 7 and MBG 8.1.23
