Without going into the reasons I would like to know if its possible to have a normal sql 2008 instance installed on both nodes as well as a clustered instance between the nodes.

I know I can install a heap of clustered instances and do active active clustering but I have a piece of work that it would be very advantageous to have the nodes being stand alone sql servers as well as a clustered instance.

Cheers

I do not know of any reason this would not work if that is indeed your intentions.

Of course there would be a bunch of logistical questions that would have to be answered.

Thanks
