Cluster server Crash on File Share Rename

Environment:
We have a windows 2003 ent. Based cluster server. We are using this server as a File Server with 200+ Shares and 6 Terabytes of San Attached Storage.

Issue:
The file server Crashes if a file level share is renamed or removed. For instance let’s say you have a folder that is shared as X:\folderA\FolderB
Folder A and Folder B are both shared. You rename Foder A to Share A. I completely understand that you would need to recreate the resource using cluster administrator, but what would the server its self Crash?

Is the server crashing, or is the cluster failing over?

200+ Shares? You may want to consider the following.

We used the info in this when building our File Server cluster. Since each of our user folders are shared we would have had over +4000 file shares, which is way beyond the limit. Keep in mind one gotcha with the setup described above. The local Admin must have Full rights on each Share permission. Yes, local Admin - when the resource fails over it will it know to change to the local admin of either node, INFO FROM MICROSOFT. also, The subdirectory shares may only have one share name. If they have two, one name will become unshared during a failover.
