We have two servers running as a Windows 2003 Cluster. The cluster itself is referenced as DB, and the servers are referenced as DB1 and DB2. Now in the past I have been able to map to the drives on the cluster as \\DB\u$ or \\DB1\u$ (if u$ is currently running off of DB1). My current problem is I can no longer reference my drives using the DB name, forceing me to reference the drives using the individual server names, which causes me issue if I have to fail over to a different box (i.e. my programs reference \\DB1\U$, but after fail over the drive is \\DB2\U$). Any idea why I can no longer reference the cluster using the cluster name DB? I can ping DB.

What error are you getting when you try to map to the \\DB\u$\ share?

Hi,

I think your fileshare group that includes the disk u and the core cluster group are running on different nodes.

Kind regards,
