Closing Word2000 doc after the doc is opened by the web

Hi,

I can close documents in web on the AutoClose no problem. My problem comes when my document is activated from the web, and word 2000 opens up a browser. When I try to close the document it says that the document is currently in use by another process.

Clearly its being used by IE still, but there must be a way of closing the document without the user interacting.

Any clues?
