Closing WebServices with CMC can't restart

When we shut down CE (8.0) through the CMC, including the web services a problem arises on restart. Starting the webservices (IIS) again through the CMC they will hang in startup. My IT person tells me that they will hang if you try to start them through the services themselves as well. If you stop the webservices through the server instead of the CMC then there is no problem.

Once the web services hang in startup.. the only way we have found to stop them for restart is to physically reboot the server (not a good option).

I was just curious if anyone else has noticed this problem and/or came up with a non-reboot fix if the web services hang.

Thanks in advance

Lisa

There is the issue that you're logged in while restarting, which generally causes a warning (in 8.5 anyway).

I would suggest that you not stop and restart services in the CMC anyway, those services might be driving the interface you're using.

Actually calling it the CMC was incorrect. Not the web based service, but the application console on the server itself.
