closing parent window

hi,
my problem is like this..
i opening a new window using window.open() now i try to close the parent window using window.parent.close,window.hide() and several other methods but in each case it ask for confirmation for closing parent window that i donot want.i.e parent window should close without user's confirmation.

pretty sure you cant do this for security reasons...

Actually you can, but Windows asks user's confirmation to close window. There is no way to turn it off, unless you use XTML.
