We are using Access 97 on Win95 workstations (we have started moving out of caves and have just discovered fire.
The infamous second instance of Access when merging data to Word document has plagued us. I have viewed and followed MS “workaround”, but it does not work and upgrading to newer version of Access is beyond my control.
Is there a way to close the second instance of access from the first one in code? i.e., after the Word document has been populated with the db records (and consequently the second instance of Access has started) to run an “Application.Quit acQuitSaveNone” command for the second instance of Access from the first one that has the Word merging codes?
Thanks for your input.
