I set up a query form that has a field for OLE embedded objects. These will mostly consist of documents such as Word and Excel files. When I return a search that contains an OLE embedded file, I can select it and it will open up in either Word or Excel. If I accidentially modify the Word file it seems to automatically save it so when I try to leave the form to perform another action I get an error that states...I can not save changes to this OLE Object. I am then unable to get out of the form...I must exit the database entirely. Even worse this same thing happens just when open up an Excel file, I don't even need to make any changes for it to bomb.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

PS - I prefer not to link the files...I would rather they be embedded.
