Hi all,
I have recently created a module level word object that is called in various functions but does not seem to release the word object even when I save the the document, close, quit and release the object. All Other word objects i have created at procedural level do this fine. So I know it can't be how I close the application and release the object.
Does anyone know if creating the object at module level could be causing the problem.
Any response would be much appreciated

Did you set ALL variables containing Word objects to Nothing, Application, Document, Range etc. I sure sounds like one of them is still held. That would explain it working at Procedure level where all the variables would be set to Nothing by VB at the Exit even f you did not do it. Forms/Controls Resizing/Tabbing Control
Compare Code (Text)
Generate Sort Class in VB or VBScript
