I have a VB Application that has been published to a network location, but I need to do processing within the application but leave the application open to do other processing of maybe the same process. I need to close all forms that are open at once, so as to avoid the error message Appication is being used by another process.

Is there a way to do?

The way that Windows Forms applications normally work is that once all the forms are closed--the application ends.

First, I need some more background on your application:

1. Is the application executed on a network share, or is it simply installed from a network share?

2. Is the processing specific to the workstation which runs the application, or is it shared? What I mean by this is that if this is your file creation application, are the files created on the workstation which executes the application, or are they created on the network share itself?

The files are created on the work station which executes the application.

What exactly causes the error? I'm having trouble figuring out how this is happening, especially when the users are each executing an application on their own machine.

Correction, Some manual entries will be done, but there will be entries in a server that will need pulling. The error I believe I have found, The Log Write was not closed at the end of the program was one reason. Also there were Windows Forms left open not closed.
