All i would like to do is close an entire frameset window in Flash. I would have thought it was simple but the only thing I have been told is that you can only close a single non-frameset window. Please HELP.

Where is this frameset? In a popup window, called from your Flash movie? If so, do you want to close it from within the popup or from the Flash movie that called it?

;-)

I do not use framesets very often....have you tried using javascript:window.close() on a button or some text?

This should close the entire browser window that is open regardless of whether it is a frameset or just a single framed window.

note: in case you are not familiar with javascript...just put the code in place of the url in a link. Ya' Gotta Love It!

Thanx very much 4 ur help all, :). I'll tell you exactly my circumstances:
I have 2 frames. 1 is flash, the contents frame, and the other is simple html. I would like to try and close both windows. javascript:window.close() is all very well, except it is only designed to close 1 window, and I have loads of problems combining javascript with flash, but thanx 4 the tip neway. (incidentally, if there is anyone who wants to know how to close a frameset in java-NOT IN FLASH AS IT DOESNT WORK,then heres how: javascript:top.window.close().)

Neway, thanx all for ur help, any more ideas will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks again
