I do network consulting. I have started to support PeachTree but I am new. My client has Complete Accounting 2003. They have over 45 companies. They closed a company since it reached the 2 year limit. Let's say it is called XYZ-2001. The current company data for XYZ-2003 is fine. When they open company XYZ-2001...it seems they can do everything except access the general ledger info.

Since I support this client, they have and follow proper backup procedures, so we have backups to repair if needed.

Question 1 - what is causing the problem and the solution for this?

Question 2 - what is the recommended procedure for Closing a fiscal year so the info can be correctly accessed next time? They have 44 companies to go still! lol

Thanks in advance,
Brian - NJ
