Close Button produces "Error accessing file." 1

Hi.

I have a form heavy access DB which was recently migrated to 2000 and now I can't use any of the Close Form Buttons on any of the forms.

When I click the button I get and MS Visual Basic Error - "Error accessing file. Network connection may have been lost". When I click "okay" I get dumped into the debugger but not to any specific code.

I have attempted deleting the button and making a new close form button and get the exact same behaviour.

I am also getting this behaviour on my Open Form buttons - but until I noticed the error in Close Form, I thought it was just a problem with the form code.

Can you help? Please

Note: I've just found RoyVidar's response to a similar question elsewhere and gone throught the decompile/recompile process.

I get the same error when I attempt the "Compile" step

Here's what I did when I had the same problem.

I created a new, blank database. I went to file -> get external data -> import, then I chose the database whose objects I want to copy.

It then opens a new window that's titled, "import objects". I went thru tables, forms, reports etc. and clicked "select all" so every object was selected. All the objects were then added to the database.

I pressed alt-F11 to open the vb window. I went to Debug ->compile databaseName (whatever you named your database) and it quickly compiled. Then it worked fine. Then I closed it and am now doing office updates and hope to never have this problem again.
