close access db

Hi,

Is it possible to close our Access DB if it remains idle for say 10 mins?

The problem is that staff log in and open up the report DB and then do something else like teach or have lunch or even go home and leave it open all night. The workstation locks and this then locks the DB.

Then my back-up program does not back up the file.
