can anyone confirm if i can clone (mksysb and install media) from a 32bit machine to a 64bit machine (43P/140 to p610). AIX 5.1 installed on 43P

I don't see any problem with that. If you want the 64 bit Kernel active on the p610 you will need to manually make the change after the cloning is complete though.
