Hello all,

I set up a pool (bootstrap), which gets both bootstrap and indexes as its savesets. Now I have been asked to clone this tape so we can have two copies of our indexes and bootstrap.

Can I overwrite the clone tape on a daily basis, using the nsrclone command run from a cron?

OR

Is there a way to just clone the indexes and bootstrap to this separate clone pool everytime a job saves the indexes and bootstrap to the bootstrap pool?

Thank you,
Ross Dickinson

If you clone the volume on a daily basis you could also use nsrmm o re-label the clone volume back into the clone pool daily (before cloning it again).
Obviously, this leaves you with the duration of the label and clone where you only have one copy still.
