Cloning performance with 6.02 with AIT3

Hi,

We write and clone to/from AIT3.

Writing is around 15 MB/sec.
However,cloning (reading from target/writing to clone) is only about 3.5 MB/sec.

Any idea why ?I would expect around 8-10 MB/sec. "Long live king Moshiach !"

Are you streaming to the drives? It will have to un-interleave the savesets if you are, and thus a slowdown on the reads.

I agree with mcurran1. remember, NetWorker has to read the tape back. If the server parallelism is set high, it will take longer to demultiplex the savesets.

Also take a look at NetWorker 6.1.3 which has a few patches for cloning.
