Hello,

I'm Spanish so I'm sorry due to my English level.

Is the process wrong?

1) Clone Save Sets, 2) Fill the client (one name), 3) Query button, 4) Save set multiple selection with Control Key (3 lines, for example /export, /rman and /admin) and 5) Clone button.

The cloning process starts, Legato reads the source volume and finally writes the destination clone volume.

At the moment it's ok, but the problem starts next! It makes up to four clones!

Would you tell me an answer, please?

Thank you very much

Well, let's get the terminology right first:
i guess you are worried about 4 cloned save sets that are
obviously started. However 4 clones means that you clone
a save set 4 times.

I think it helps if you tell us which of the save sets have
been cloned (twice). mminfo will help you in this case.

Also, the operation from the command line is easier to use
and to investigate - you have much more option. Please have a look whether this operation can help.

Well, I'm afraid I didn't explain it correctly.

I want to obtain a clone volume within three save sets. I select all the save sets I need with Control-key in the Clone Save Set Query dialog box.

Note: The steps which I follow are in Legato Administrator's Windows Guide (please, see pages from 392 to 395 in 'How to Manually Clone a Save Set').

Finally I get a clone volume with several save sets. But it continues performing the process four times! At the end I obtain 4 clone volumes which are the same (each of them with three save set).

I tried performing with one save set and I got the same result: the same four clone volumes (each of them with one save set) and I only want one clone volume.

Would you answer which the problem is?

This looks weird !

First question: does the same happen if you clone the one
save set from the command line?

Could you please do the following:
- search for your save set (ssid) to be cloned with mminfo

Then run
mminfo -q "ssid=the_ssid" -r "name, volume, ssid, cloneid"

Them run your clone as follows:
nsrclone -S ssid -b clone_pool

Then run again
mminfo -q "ssid=the_ssid" -r "name, volume, ssid, cloneid"

Let's wait for the result.

I've run your instrucctions and they were performed in a successful way.

From command-line I get one clone volume which contains all my save-set selection.

Of course from graphic interface there's an error (see previous posts) and I've reported this event to Legato Support.

Many thanks in advance

O.K., so this is under control. Seems to be a GUI problem.
Could you please let us know the exact NW version?

Thanks.

Of course. The Legato Networker is installed on a UNIX machine running SunOS 5.8.

The version is 6.1.1.Build 328 and I'm connected to UNIX machine from NT using Networker Administrator.
