Hi!

I've got a problem with networker 6.1.3 on Solaris8 (Backupserver). When a cloning process gets started it begins to loop the nsrmmd processes. Killing the processes won't work. The only thing we can do is reboot the machine. The problem is that this host has an database on it, so that we have no chance for an reboot until the end of the week.

Maybe someone can help me. I've already opened a case at legato but they told me that this problem is an OS problem because theres an outstanding I/O and the controller/device gives no respone back.

Thanks in advance

You can actually kill the nsrmmd process at any time. NW monitors
them and will restart them as necessary.

Hi!

I've also tried this and nsr_shutdown -qa but the processes are unable to kill. After all processes are shutdown, the nsrmmd's still running. There are no more networker services running than the nsrmmd-processes. If this problem occours, init is their parentprocess and only reboot works.
