I have a Networker server on a Solaris box, controlling backups on a NetApp filer. The filer has an attached tape library (NDMP tape server). I have been unable to create a clone of NDMP volumes. Here's what I get:
Automatically copying save sets(s) to other volume(s)
Starting cloning operation...
...from storage node: filer
nsrclone: SYSTEM error: cloning requires at least 2 devices
nsrclone: Cannot open nsrclone session with nwserver
nsrclone: Failed to clone any save sets
I believe the error must be because the Solaris server has only one tape drive. But, I want to use the NDMP tape library, not the server's, and can't seem to do so.
Is it possible to clone savesets/volumes when the tapes reside on an NDMP tape library?
