Can someone baby me (or provide a link) on how to clone a phone on our option 61c running RLS 19.60? (I know its really old)

I know how to do some basic commands like renaming in LD 95 but I dont know how to create/clone phones.

Basically I want to clone the options/setup from an existing m2616 to a new TN/DN. (have a new phone waiting)

Thanks!

ld 11
REQ: CPY1
TYPE: 2616
CFTN: OLD TN
TN: NEW TN
DN: NEW DN

LD 95

chg
name
5xxx
joe,smith

for name change.

DO NOT copy ACD sets.

Fantastic, you guys are awesome.

On the LD25 for a name change, I have always used:

OUT
NAME
DN

then

NEW
NAME
DN

..to avoid extra chars when changing from a long name to a shorter one. Is CHG a shortcut for this?

Also - what happens if I overwrite a used TN/DN?
And one other thing, how can I print a list of used TN's/DN's?

Thanks again.

Prior to using the CPY 1 (have your TN and DN ready).

To Find an available DN: Use LD 20
REQ: PRT
TYPE: LUDN
CUST 0
DN (press enter to get complete list of all, or type 3, 4, or 5 to get a list of just those numbers)... Example DN 46

To find an available TN: Use LD 20
REQ: luvu
TYPE: 2000 (for digital sets) or 500 (for analogue sets)
TN
TYPE 2000 TN 004 0 06 15 8D VCE

Now you're ready to use the CPY command

Regarding the NAME problem. If you are changing the following:

NAME Jonathan Appleton
to
NAME John Apple

You can use CHG and enter the NAME this way:

NAME John, Apple

The 'comma' essentially overwrites everything that follows it, so you end up with John Apple (as opposed to John Appleppleton)

Got the new phone werkin.

Thanks to all for the great help.

Also forgot -

What GHTROUT posted is exactly why I used the out/new - didnt know about the CHG/comma, would end up with "John Appleppleton" before in the above example.

When I copy the switch does not let me make the new phone the same Key 0 DNB as the source. I always make it a fake number and then change it. Is there some way to simply copy ext. 1234 to a blank TN as ext. 1234?

You have to make the DN a unique number for the copy, and then you can go back and change it to whatever you want.
