Where is the clock source for the T1 is it in the BCM or the T1 mod itself? My problem is that I can not fax (in or out) over a PRI circuit you can make a voice call but the fax will disconnect. The carrier says that they see the clock slipping and we have changed the T1 card and still having the sane problem.

Just to add to this if I route the call out over an analog CO trunk the fax goes with no problems. So I know it's not the Analog Station port.

I've had several PRI slip issues and each time the problem was with the carrier. Of course, I had to use my PRI analyzer to convience them that the problem was theirs and not mine as they kept implying. To the best of my knowledge the clock recovery circuit is on the T1 card. Make sure the clock is "Primary" if this is the PRI that you are tracking as your primary clock source.
Also, if you have an analyzer (tberd, sunset), hook it up after hours and make test calls and note your clocking/BER.

Tks

wanker3 is right. by default the BCM sets the clock to Master. It must be changed to Primary. This will fix your problems with the analog ports.
