The time on the MD110 keeps wandering by up to 15 mins every few days.
The time has been corrected (using CATII command) and a clock calibration set up. The clock calibration is ended after 3 days, and the time remains correct for a few days, then starts to wander again.
Any ideas please?
Tried restarting prog unit PRH to no avail.
Thanks.

Calibration should be run for much longer, 30 to 60 days before stopping,

Or if you have DNA you can use the server clock to set the time on the PBX each night.

had same problem (56lims). did a calibration for 60 days and not had any problems since

It's never too late to try something new

Same thing here! As a costumer missed a plane because of a "late" clock, we calibrated the MD110 for approx. 2 months. Then it was OK.

Hi - an update.
reset the time & started a clock calibration a week ago.
The clock started wandering again the same day.
The clock is now 2 and a half hours fast.
I have corrected the time again, and left the calibration running.
The clock shouldn't wander as much as this surely??
It's a single LIM switch.
Regards.

problem is that during calibration you should NOT set the time with CATII (without calib parameter), if you do so, the MD110 will miscalculate the calibration resulting in worse wandering.

Oh dear, what to do?
A particular customer complains almost on a daily basis if the clock time on his phone is wrong. This is why I corrected the time today.
I tried to reset the time and end the current calibration, with a view to starting a new calibration, but got this message - CALIBRATION END NOT ALLOWED.
:(

well, I guess that the customer will have to live with the fact that his clock will be faulty for several weeks...

there is another way, that involves resetting the calibration data to default via SACOS. what version do you have (CADAP;)?

there is an easier way! tell your user not to rely on the pbx clock but go and buy a watch! must be cheaper than the amount of engineering time being wasted on this!

It's never too late to try something new

you would be amazed how many people are relying on the MD110 clock! [spin]

Eaglebird, still waiting for the CADAP; printout, I can help you...

Also - 55 hours is the minimum time for calibration, maybe your 55 hours have passed now and you can start again?

Sorry for delay.
Here is CADAP printout.
I've blanked out the switch identity so as not to identify the customer.

<CADAP;
CALENDAR DATA
IDENTITY=HXXXXXXXXXXXX
VERSION=CXP1010102/2/BC12SP7/R4A
14:19:27
MON 02 MAR 2009
END

LOL at "tell your user not to rely on the pbx clock but go and buy a watch!"
SUSPECT THIS CUSTOMER WOULD COMPLAIN IF HE HAD NOTHING TO COMPLAIN ABOUT :)

ok, Eaglebird!

now I need this printout:

SACOP:UNIT=PRH,LIM=1,SECTOR=REL,ADDR=D0;

Thanks Daddy.

END

We have to exchanges, Exchange one has the group switch located in it and twenty five LIM's, exchange two has seven? LIM's. The time is OK on exchange one but wanders on exchange two, not far but enough to be noticed to be wrong.

Has anyone any ideas?

Yes - read this thread and calibrate your time on the switch that is out!

Thanks for that parnum. I was more after some information as, can do this from DNA and what commands i should be putting in?

Sorry if this appears a little basic but we all have to start somewhere.

CATII:DATE=yyyy-mm-dd,TIME=hh-mm, CALIB=BEGIN;

after 55 hours +

CATII:DATE=yyyy-mm-dd,TIME=hh-mm, CALIB=END;

hit <CR> exactly when the minute changes to atomic clock, and the longer you leave the calibration running, the longer it will stay accurate.
