This is kind of a strange issue. My windows clock keeps reseting to the date and time that I turned the computer on (Monday Dec 28th at 8:30pm) every single time it comes out of standby.

My first thought was the CMOS battery, but wouldn't that constantly reset the time back to some date in the 1970's every time I booted it? (not the date and time I recently powered on the computer).

Has anyone experienced this? I have scanned the system for viruses and it is clean.

What would happen if you used System Restore to go back before Monday Dec 28th at 8:30pm and then tried Standby?

Have you tested with another logged on user?

Have you rebooted the machine recently? What is the time like after a reboot?

Is the time in the Bios also changing? Have you tried the Safe defaults settings in the Bios, and is there any Bios update available?
