Hi all,

I am getting a lot of 278 alarms(CIL DATA LOST FOR ONE OR MORE OUTPUT UNITS) in all LIMS

GJLSP print shows all PCM links with errors
(BIT 6 - incomplete clock ordering in Group Switch)

Did SCICI and SCEXI
also did
GSRFI:GSM=0,GSSIDE=0

Alarms still on Links, also problems with periodic system dump failure alarm, "failed in LIM2 for reload data file"

Suspect GCU card,

can anyone confirm this ?

thankxs

Unless you're getting an error code 88 for group switch module clock alarm, leave the GCU alone.

If SCICP and SCEXP (you should only initiate FEML) show internal and external synch are good, you don't have a GS clocking problem.

You most likely have a PCM link that's bad and is spitting garbage into the group switch.......the newer gsm's are pretty sensitive to such things.

I dunno how many GSM's, LIM's or links per LIM you have, or the transmission medium you're using from the LIM's to the GS, but I'd look at the signalling in LIM 2 and LIM 1. See if you have faulty signals that look similar to this in either LIM 1 or LIM 2:

*******************************************************
INTER LIM SIGNAL LOST - MISMATCHING SEQUENCE NUMBER
BRANCHVALUE = 000030E1
ENTER
SWSW B-LEVEL SIGNAL *************** (H'0000)
FROM ****** (H'000) EXE A IN LIM 030
TO ****** (H'000) EXE A IN LIM 060
NO DATA IN SIGNAL
********************************************************

If you have multiple links per LIM, try blocking, function testing and restarting each one individually.

Send GJREI; then send GJLOP:LIM=x; to see if you can find a pattern or a particular link that pops up consistently.

In what LIM is your SMDR output initiated? If it's other than LIM 1 or 2, look at the links in that LIM as well.

Good luck,

Dave Strang

Thankxs Dave,
I'm not looking at this problem, but for referance,

its 2 LIM's
SCEXP and SCICP are fine,
fault marking on GJLSP no lost signals in LIM (HIEDP)

If I get it back to do, will check it out

cheers

Hi,

2 LIM & GSM will always have this alarm.
Because you do not have a 3rd clock.
