I apologize if this is the wrong forum for this question.
I am running a program, xxx.exe on a win98 machine called main.
On another win98 pc on the network, I created a shortcut like so:
Target: \\main\path\xxx.exe
When I use the shortcut, I get the error:
CLocalPipe(): Error Reading Registry Entry for xxx.exe
I assume (perhaps incorrectly) that this error has something to do with the "client" windows machine looking for a non-existent entry in it's registry.
The thing is, I know this has worked before at other sites.
Can anyone offer some ideas? I would severely appreciate it.
