Hi,

We have a field of CLOB data type that we need on a CR 8 / 9 / 10 report. When I try and preview the report in any version I get various nasty Oracle error messages, such as "Query Engine Error: 'ORA-00932: inconsistent datatypes: expected - got CLOB'".

Our DBA tells me that you can't report CLOB's and that a way round this is to convert the CLOB to HTML, but have no idea how to do this (the 'Format Field > Paragraph > Text Interpretation' option isn't the answer).

Any ideas? Thanks for any suggestions.

Thanks dave, that did the trick. The KB article refers to stored procedures (which I'm not using), but deselecting the 'Select Distinct Records' option on the 'Database' menu had the same effect.
