Clipping paths to Frame w/ InDesign CS

I'm using an older version of InDesign and I want to do something like the "Paths to Frame" thing that you can do with the newer versions. I can't find any way to get just the clipping paths from Photoshop or paths from Illustrator into InDesign. I want to be able to edit the paths in InDesign.

Is this sort of thing even possible with the older versions of the software or am I SOL?... There must be some kind of workaround, I fugure...
