I created a clipping path of an object that I did not want to background to. Once I completed making the path with the pen tool and going to the path palette to make it a clipping path, I saved it as a psd. When I open Illustrator to place the object, I wanted to have the.psd clipping path to be visible and the object to remain without the background. However, once placed, I only see the object not the clipping path. Any suggestions?

Thank you!
Stephanie

I am not an Illustrator expert at all, but I think you need to import the paths separately. Just do a search in the help for import path from Photoshop.

(Try it my way, it might work...)

I would save as an eps with tiff preview. this always keeps my clipping path in illustrator.
