Being an Engineer, I have been looking into applying Excel into data collection from machines and such...In one of my recent applications, I needed to "clip" data from a cell - for example one cell contained "2002-18" (in the format year-week) and I wanted just the week number out of that...I found a way to do that ( a jazzy formua) and I feel on top of the world since it solved a big puzzle for me and made my program just jog as I wanted it to (since everything was referened from the week number....

But this can even help if you want to get "Two" from a cell that contains "Twenty Two" ...ahh I guess I could have thought of a better application....there are a lot many applications where i have used it now...

Two things can happen here:
1) you dont see an application for this "jazzy formula"
2) you already know about it...

If you could use a copy then please feel free to ask for the file. <Dale's words here>

Just email me, and I'll send the file via return email.
