Certain Functions in Clipper Tools 3.0 and NanForum Lib are not compatible with Windows NT/2000/XP sytems. The Funtions in question are: DISKREADY(), DISKREADYW() in Clipper Tools and FT_FLOPTST() in NanForum Lib. In an Extended mode program, these functions, while they return their correct specified values, they make the disk drive not able to read or write, until access through another window or another application. This means that if you need to access the A: drive, with these systems, then you must not test for readyness of the drive. I do not know if the problem is related to non-Intel processors, but we have 1000+ users with various systems, and most NT/2000/XP system will not access the Floppy drive from clipper, and this is why. If you just read or write to the floppy without checking for readyness, then everything is OK. Just thought some of you may be having this problem.
