Let me try to explain this...

I have a customer who is using exchange 2003. his firm used to use exchange 5.5. they changed awhile back. However, now he is finding that employees who used to use 5.5 cannot send messages in outlook. recieves errors about lack of permissions to do such. what changes could he make to allow the employees to be able to fully use the newer exchange server?

What version of Outlook are they using? And what version of windows are they running? And what is the actual error they are getting?

yes, please be specific in your request. Help us help you.

Sounds like an issue with the NK2 file. Delete and see if that fixes the trouble.

Good call, Z!

To find the .nk2 file, look in the C:\Documents and Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook folder for a file with an .nk2 extension. If it's screwed up, that would cause problems everytime Outlook tries to autocomplete an address, among other things.
