I have 2 SMS sites up and running using SMS 2003, one was a fresh install and one was an upgrade from SMS 2.0

The problem that i have is that all of the clients have joined the fresh install because an error was made when adding the site boundries.

We have removed the incorrect subnet from the clean install but the clients have stayed where they are they have not moved to the upgraded site where their subnet is located.

How can i change this, i have been to a couple and manually entered the site code into the SMS Man and these work fine i just want to automate the others.

Please help me.

Thanks

I think you have to re-install the clients. This is because you have two seperate hierachies. (If you were in the same hierarchy, you would not have to do this...)

So, discover your systems on the site server that you want the systems to belong to. Then push Client installation.

OK had a look at this tool and it is indeed very good and would do what we wanted if the computers were not seperated from the SMS server that the server cannot pass through.

Looks like i am going to have to visit 400 computers to redetect the site (this does work so maybe i can do it with a reg hack....)

Thanks anyway.
